Innovo has appointed Roger Wahl as Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the global IT team and develop a group-wide digital transformation strategy.

Wahl brings substantial expertise from a range of global tech leadership roles that will enhance Innovo’s processes and systems, strengthen data and analytics capabilities, and spearhead digital innovation. He will be based in Dubai and report into Innovo’s Executive Committee.

“This is a really important role which goes to the heart of our ambition to become a purpose-driven business, committed to driving change through bringing smart technology and innovative sustainability practices to the communities we operate in,” said Bishoy Azmy, CEO of Innovo.

In response, Wahl said: “I am excited to join Innovo at such a pivotal time in its development and look forward to working closely with all the group divisions, building a culture of collaboration and partnership, which puts people and our clients at the centre of all we do.”

Prior to Innovo, Wahl was EMEA Head of Operations for High Tech, Manufacturing and Services at Genpact, the NYSE listed global professional services firm specialising in business transformation. Before Genpact, Wahl was Chief Digital and Information Officer at John Holland, the multi-billion-dollar Australian infrastructure and property company renowned for building stadiums, subways, railways and other facilities, where he created and executed the company’s digital transformation strategy.
