Innovo joins British Safety Council event to discuss health, safety and wellbeing

Group Safety Director Dave Robinson spoke to an audience of leading health, safety and wellbeing professionals this week, at a conference hosted by the British Safety Council.

Held at the Dubai Trade Centre, the conference explored the theme “leading health, safety and wellbeing in a changing world”.

Dave was one of a small number of senior leaders invited to participate in a panel discussion on the topic “creating safety culture change”. During the discussion, Dave talked about leadership visibility and his experience of creating a work culture where safety is integral to all parts of business operations.

“When leaders are actively involved, we empower our teams to prioritise health, safety, and wellbeing – not because they have to, but because they want to,” said Dave. “This creates trust, accountability, and a shared sense of purpose that drives performance at every level of an organisation.

“This goes beyond ensuring compliance or meeting KPIs; it’s about creating a culture where safety is woven into the fabric of everything we do. It’s about walking the talk – engaging with teams, listening to concerns, and demonstrating genuine commitment to everyone’s wellbeing.”
