Together Against Plastic Pollution: Innovo Bans Single-Use Plastic Across All Operations

On World Earth Day, 22 April , Innovo introduced the "Together Against Plastic Pollution" campaign, our newest environmental initiative. This year's Earth Day theme, "Planet vs. Plastic," aligned perfectly with our policy of banning single-use plastic in every aspect of our operations.

Recent scientific revelations have highlighted the alarming contribution of plastic to global greenhouse gas emissions, amounting to nearly 4% of the world's total. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Innovo is taking proactive steps to mitigate its environmental footprint and pave the way for a more sustainable future.

Since we at Innovo are committed to safeguarding the planet's natural resources, we have banned single-use plastics, which is a big step in the direction of our continuous sustainability journey. This step highlights our dedication to lessening our environmental impact and promoting a greener workplace.

All plastic or foam cups, plates, containers, bottles, and cutlery will be phased out from Innovo premises. Instead, employees and visitors will have access to multi-use utensils crafted from sustainable materials, promoting a culture of reusability and resourcefulness. To support this transition, Innovo will provide comprehensive guidance to its staff on reducing plastic usage and embracing recycling practices. Suitable and sufficient recycling bins will be strategically placed throughout the facilities, facilitating proper waste disposal and recycling efforts.

Furthermore, Innovo is committed to addressing plastic packaging within its supply chain. Collaborating closely with vendors, the company will identify opportunities to eliminate or minimize plastic packaging, prioritizing eco-friendly alternatives wherever possible. By fostering partnerships with like-minded suppliers, Innovo aims to drive systemic change and promote the adoption of sustainable practices throughout the industry.

Innovo recognizes that achieving sustainability requires collective effort and individual commitment. As such, employees are encouraged to embrace reusable alternatives in their daily routines, such as using reusable bags and food containers. By empowering its workforce to make environmentally conscious choices, Innovo aims to create a ripple effect of positive change both within and beyond its organization.

The decision to implement this ban showcases Innovo's unwavering dedication to environmental responsibility and sets a precedent for industry-wide sustainability initiatives. As the world grapples with the urgent challenges of climate change, Innovo remains steadfast in its commitment to leading by example and driving meaningful progress towards a greener, more sustainable future.
