Innovo is proud to pledge our support for the UN’s Race To Zero Campaign | UNFCCC through Business Declares, a fast-growing network of businesses that acknowledge the Climate and Ecological Emergency. We recognise the need to prioritise efforts on the impacts associated with the activities under our direct control (Scope 1 and 2) swiftly and in line with the Paris Agreement to limit global warming to an upper threshold of 1.5 degrees centigrade. We also appreciate the pressing need to mitigate the impacts associated with our value chain (Scope 3).
Our aim is to continue to reduce our emissions and impact on biodiversity year-on-year, to the point of becoming Net Zero by 2050. We are also committed to sharing our success stories and learnings along the way to help and inspire others on this journey, as well as helping our value chain accomplish this journey.
We, therefore, commit to deploying our resources and using our influence to help accelerate the transition, ensure our investments have a positive climate impact, and make the necessary changes to minimise the climate impact of our operations. The scientific evidence is clear that without rapid and far-reaching changes in energy, land use, transport, buildings, industry, and the economic system itself, we face a man-made climate catastrophe.
