Innovo wins big at 16th Big Project Awards Middle East

Innovo has been recognised across five categories at the 16th Big Project Awards Middle East, highlighting excellence in delivery across residential, infrastructure, MEP, and cultural developments in the UAE.

The awards, presented in Dubai on 11 February 2026, included:

  • Large Contractor of the Year
  • Woman of the Year – Mariam Azmy, Chief People Officer
  • MEP Contractor of the Year
  • Leisure, Retail & Hospitality Project of the Year
  • Infrastructure & Transport Project of the Year

The recognition reflects Innovo’s project delivery performance and its commitment to building a progressive, people-led construction culture aligned with regional innovation and sustainability priorities.

Large Contractor of the Year

The award recognises Innovo’s delivery of complex, high-value projects supported by Building Information Modelling (BIM), advanced MEP integration, and energy-efficient systems that strengthen long-term asset performance across its portfolio.

Woman of the Year – Mariam Azmy, Chief People Officer

Mariam Azmy was recognised for her contribution to advancing workplace culture in the construction sector, strengthening diversity, employee wellbeing, and workforce development frameworks across the business.

MEP Contractor of the Year

This award reflects Innovo’s One Innovo delivery model, integrating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems with safety, extra-low voltage (ELV), information and communications technology (ICT), and smart building automation to enhance operational efficiency and lifecycle resilience.

Leisure, Retail & Hospitality Project of the Year

The Zayed National Museum water feature project was recognised for its coordinated structural and hydraulic engineering, incorporating a 23,000sqm canal, underground infrastructure, and integrated fountain systems.

Infrastructure & Transport Project of the Year

Innovo was awarded for upgrading the Al Faya–Razeen–Al Qua’a road network in Abu Dhabi, incorporating 2,239 solar-powered streetlights across 124km, forming the world’s longest continuous solar streetlighting system. This follows Innovo’s recognition as Sustainable Contractor of the Year in 2024.
